A Week in Media...
I haven't really watched anime in a while, I think the last series I finished was probably... Oshi no Ko? And only because I already read the manga. I can't even remember what was my last anime original. But my friends kept raving about Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, so I thought well, I could give this three episodes.
Yeah, I got hooked after the prologue. Just finished Season 1. Strangely enough, this is my first Gundam series, and if the other series are anything like Witch, I absolutely see why it's such an iconic franchise. I think I'll try to get around to the other series sometimes soon.
I'm also watching Frieren, since I'm a big fan of the manga. I rarely watch anime adaptations, since I feel many are inferior to the original source, but much like Oshi no Ko, this seems like a fantastic adaptation. I don't think I will watch this weekly though.
Waiting for The Apothecary Diaries anime to air, which thankfully starts after my exams. Here to hoping the adaptation is the next in excellent adaptations that elevate their source material.
Currently reading The Death I Gave Him by Em X. Liu, since the premise of a queer sci-fi Hamlet retelling intrigued me. Unfortunately, the book hasn't really caught my interest yet, despite being 35% in. It's alright, but I'm just a little bored. My library hold for Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros finally came through. I don't think I'll like this, but why not give this a go, considering its explosive popularity?
